Workshop Process

1. Initial Discovery & Documentation
   • Use the Post-it area to document your specific goals and available datasets
   • Be explicit about what decisions need to be informed by this visualization
2. Visual Inspiration Collection
   • Add reference images to both moodboard sections:
     • Graph Focus: Examples of effective chart types, color schemes, and data-dense displays
     • Story Focus: Conceptual approaches and narrative frameworks
3. Collaborative Evaluation
   • Vote on the most promising inspiration elements
   • Consider both aesthetic appeal and analytical effectiveness
   • Prioritize visualizations that clearly communicate your key metrics
4. First-Round Selection
   • Move winning elements to the grey first-round circle
   • This creates your shortlist of potential approaches
5. Final Element Selection
   • Move only the most essential elements to the green final circle:
     • 1 clearly defined goal
     • Up to 3 critical data sources
     • 1 visual approach
     • 1 storytelling concept

This structured workflow ensures your visualization will be focused on your most important objective while incorporating only the most relevant data and using the most appropriate visual treatment.
